Volunteer for HUMAN International Documentary Film Festival 2018

Volunteers are of great importance to the festival. Every year we get help from committed volunteers that help us create an engaging and inspiring platform for documentaries and debates about human rights.

Volunteering gives you a unique opportunity to see how a festival works from the inside, meet new people, and be part of an inspiring community!

As a volunteer you will work minimum 3 days before or during the festival period, and in return you will get:

Free entrance to documentaries and other events during the festival.
Festival T-shirt
Free snacks and beverages when you work (and a free warm meal if your shift is longer than 7 hours)
A certificate for your effort
A fun and inspiring experience!

You can choose from a variety of tasks:

Promoting the festival:
You will make sure that the festival is visible throughout the city by handing out flyers/programs as well as put up posters.

Social media:
You will be a part of the team that works with our social media channels: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and the festival website. This work involves writing status updates, conducting interviews with guests, festivalgoers and others, writing festival reviews and/or taking pictures at the festival events.

As part of this group you will provide information to the audience and guests at our festival stand.  Help out with different tasks that comes up during your shift; decoration, make sure the venue is looking clean, re-fill programs around the venue, help out during Q&A’s, assist the rush-lines etc. This is the most flexible and variable team and will be working either at Cinemateket, Klingenberg og Filmens Hus.

Do you enjoy working with texts, and are you good at spotting spelling mistakes? Then you can help us with proofreading of the festival magazine (approx. one month prior to the festival)

Guest host:
Every year the festival hosts several international guests. Some of them might need help to find the festival venues or have questions regarding their stay in Oslo. We need flexible volunteers who are available to work both daytime and in the evenings.
